We got appliances

Woohoo! Finally got the three (washer, dryer & range) delivered yesterday! I can't wait to go to the house and check everything out on Sat (dad was there for the delivery). They are now painting the basement and will start staining the wood floor. So it's getting there. Again, very slowly, but it's getting there...

I would still love to move back even if they haven't finished the outside. We'll see what happens... As long as I can move back in before Aug (when baby is due)...ha ha.

We got company

Someone at work has left a bag of cookes on the floor over the weekend. In shopping bag. Today, another coworker saw something was moving in the bag, but when he went to check it (poking it with a roll of tracing paper), nothing had happened. He told the bag owner, when he went to check it, he lifted the bag, and cookie crumbs fell through the shopping bag!!! SOMETHING had chewed through the shopping bag and the bag of cookies! It's obvious NOT the office dogs Cady or Maddie... How stupid do you have to be to leave a bag of food in the corner under the desk in a basement for a whole weekend? Guess you'd have to be pretty stupid, or you are just in love with MICE!

Crazy weather!?

It's cold, it's warm, it's freezing, it's hot... The weather changes faster and more often than a moody pregnant woman with overflown hormone! Everyone is sick (touch wood). Half the office is sniffy, sneezing, coughing, blowing noses... Better stay away and eat some more apples.

It's snowing out there and we are expecting up to 7" of snow in NYC. SO NOT looking forward to it. But then, if the snow comes down hard enough, I might not have to go to work. WOOHOO!

It's in the air!

Yikes, another person in the office is expecting as well. So 4 out of 7. I think something in the air is responsible! :O

My bump is starting to show although it's not noticeable to others. Esp with winter clothes, it's even harder to see. But I know because not only I could see it (ha ha), my regular pair of jeans are getting tight at the waist. Today, I wore a pair of maternity jeans to work, but they are so loose. They were going to fall off. Still have a couple of inches to grow before the jeans truly fit me.

Happy New Year & Congratulations Joanie & Harry

Happy Chinese New Year everyone! Wish everyone have a prosperous year w/ good health.

And CONGRATULATIONS to Joanie & Harry on their new family addition -- Baby Megan (born on Feb 17th, 2007; 7lb 10oz). And hey, J&H, it's time for third. Jan is only 11 months away. ;)

The weather is going to be warm this week, I sure hope winter is over. I can't wait until it starts to get warm. I can't wait to find out the gender of our baby. I can't wait to move back into the house. I can't wait to start buying all the new furniture... I just can't wait for life to happen. :D

Babies on their ways

Wow, half of the office is expecting babies! Besides me (due in August), a friend at work is also expecting. His wife is carrying twins (due in July). Then another coworker's wife is expecting, and she's due in 5 weeks. So 3 people out of 7, that's almost half!!!!

A pair of friends are also expecting their second baby--due this Sunday!!! I am waiting for their phone call anytime now. And another friend from college is also expecting their second child who's due next month.

Wow! That's a handful of babies!!!

Happy Anniversary/Valentine's Day PP

Yep, today is our 6th wedding anniversary. We got married on this romantic day...hoping it'd make PP a little more romantic. Did it work? The answer is no. To all women, you can't change a man. :p
So Happy Anniversary & Happy Valentine's Day to you, PP. And to all.
---------------------------------------------
We are hit by a snow storm, which turns out to be more like an ice storm. It's been sleeting, freezing raining since early morning. The morning commute was a mess. Everyone was driving slow (which is a good thing) on the slushy roadways and it took me 2 hours to get to the office.
What's ironic is that our boss told us he'd be going to the site today if the weather permitted. But when I got in, he was here at the office. So if the condition was so bad for him to be driving, why did he think it was ok for US to drive to the office???

Disgusting

Since I got sick when flying back to HK over two weeks ago, I haven't been able to get rid of the phlegm in my throat. It's digusting and sometimes trying to cough it out makes me wanna throw up. Unfortunately I am a retard when it comes to coughing the phlegm out. It just got stuck at my throat and I just couldn't spit it out... So the end result, it just goes back down. Beautiful isn't it? LOL

If you aren't too sick and digusted by now and know a way to get rid of phlegm fast, please let me know. I am getting some "orange peel" (Chinese remedy) tomorrow, so hopefully that'd help. Remember, I can't take over the counter drugs.

Jet Lag

Been suffering from jet lag for the past week. Going to bed at 9:30pm and waking up at 6am. The sleeping early part doesn't bother me too much...but waking up early? HELLO! That's way against my will. :O

We went for our 3rd scan yesterday. Our baby is now 3.3" long. Heart beat was about 150. It was sucking on its thumb sitting down comfortably when we saw it, and it pulled its hand out right away. Then it looked up. Think it knew someone was watching him. Ha ha. You can see clearly now it's a human being. Last scan looked more like an alien. Hee hee. :D

Wah wah wah

I am back!!! Did anyone miss me! Did anyone even notice???? We went back to Hong Kong for 2+ weeks. It was a hectic trip as we also went to Maldives, China, and everywhere in HK. And being sick didn't help with all the running around either. On a happier note, being sick included morning sickness! Yes, we are going to be parents in August! WOOHOO! We are hoping to find out the gender of the baby in a couple of weeks. So watch this space, so you can go shopping for gifts. Ha ha!

Maldives is BEAUTIFUL. The water is clearer than pool water. We saw stingrays, sharks... Too bad I was in bed for two days (was throwing up and had a fever), we still have fun though. Well, at least it was well worth the extra money for a bungalow suite. :p

We also visited Disney Hong Kong. It's a lot nicer than I imagined...was worried by all those horror stories the press published during the park's first year of operation. I think it's well worth visiting. Of course I won't going again...unless they are done with the expansion.

Oh, not to mention good old Ocean Park. Too bad the panda house and the Ocean Theatre were closed, we were really looking forward to seeing the pandas and the jumping dolphins (boo hoo, no more Killer Whale. Remember 海威?). But the aquarium and the shark aquarium brought back old memories. Remember walking into the mouth of a shark, getting onto the moving steps to view the sharks from below the shark tank???? OHOH! And the cable car??????? How about the Seahorse made by grass/bushes on the side of the mountain???? Those were classics, no?
