Hairspray the musical

Hubby got discounted tickets (50% off) from the ticket booth yesterday. So we went to watch Hairspray the Broadway show last night. We first met for dinner at the Restaurant Row (46th Street between 8th & 9th Avenue). The show started at 7pm and we made it with minutes to spare. I didn't get a chance to fully read the playbill and see who the performers were. I didn't think I would recognize any of them anyway. But to my surprise, someone in the show looked very familiar. I thought he looked like...could he be? Then half way at the intermission, I read the Who's Who and I was right! It was Lance Bass from *NSYNC. He was Corny Collins (TV show host) in the show! He was very short though. :p

The show was GREAT. The music and dancing were very "touchy". Made me wanna sing and dance, too. I wonder why the movie didn't get a good review. Especially with big stars such as John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer, Queen Latifah & Christopher Walken.

So out of shape!

OMG Just came back from swimming at the Y (YMCA) and I am SOOOOOO out of shape. It's been nearly two years since I went... I used to be able to swim 60 laps non-stop (120 times the length of the pool). But today, I only swam for 15 minutes and I was already exhausted and out of breath. I felt like if I kept going, I would need rescuing myself. It'd take me a while to get back to my "lifeguard" strength. *sigh* Of course I am going to blame the fact that I had just given birth 1 1/2 months ago also. :p

Casey weighs in at 10lb 12.6oz tonight after dropping a big "bomb". She must be eating right because she's really gaining some good weight. It's satisfying to see her gaining weight just nursing on breast milk. But the trouble that comes with breast feeding could be a drag sometimes. I am still debating how long I should continue to breast feed her. I haven't made up my mind yet. One thing I wanna do is to give her what's best. The other is all the work that is involved (for those breast feeding activists, please don't give me your extreme opinions); not to mention the actual "pain" that I experience. But I have heard from a friend of Gary who breast fed their baby for 3 months, and once the baby started on formula, she got constipated. That's one thing I don't want happening! AH!!! I don't know what to do. Also, with breast feeding, I am not sure if I feel like going back to work... I think my brain is overloaded. Need to chill out! *whew*

We have been wondering who Mui2 looks like. And we found out tonight...

It's my parents' fault for not realizing it sooner...until my mom started to organize some old photos. Funny thing was that Casey and I got the same spikey hair...only my mom almost never took me out without a hat. ;)

15 years no see

A couple days ago, a friend from high school told me another friend was visiting and would like to meet up. I was so shocked. I haven't seen this girl for 15 years. We stayed in the same dormitory in my first year at the boarding school!

When I saw her, I felt like I only saw her yesterday. She hadn't changed much (well, and she said the same about me, ha ha). Where did the 15 years go???

We had a great time catching up. It's wonderful to hear about other people whom we'd each kept in touch with. Will post a pic when I got it from her!

9lb 8.5oz

Took Casey to the pediatrician for a shot. She now weighs 9lb 8.5oz. Almost gained 3lbs since she was born. Woohoo! She behaved so well in front of the doctor it's unbelievable. When she got her shot, she didn't start crying until it was over and the needle was out. But as soon as the doctor picked her up, she stopped crying. :)

We took her to our friends' twins' one-month-old banquet on Sunday. The twins were born 3 days after her. Gosh! She was soooo whiny throughout dinner. Luckily she wasn't like that on her big day! Trying to embarass her parents. :O
