My baby turns 7 months today

We weighed her at home with a digital scale and surprised to find out she hadn't gained any weight. She might have lost a couple of ounces, too! OH NO! What if her chubby thighs diappeared!? I want them to stay, so I can show them off during "swim suit" season. ;)

Casey in the water

Casey and I attended our first Mommy and Me swimming class this morning. It wasn't easy to take pictures as I was holding her with one hand, and had to hold the camera with the other. And I put the camera in the water proof pouch the wrong way, so it was really hard to push the button. LOL Anyway, I thought the photos still came out great and they would definitely bring back great memories one day. :D

She had a blast and wouldn't stop kicking in the water. I laughed so hard my ribs hurt. Gotta go this weekend during family recreational swim, so that Gary could see her "swimming" too.

Weekend

The weekend seems to go a lot faster now that I'm back to work. Spent Sat shopping; buying baby stuff & grocery, so that I could make sandwiches for lunch. Spent the whole day today cleaning the closet and re-organizing my clothes. My gosh! I had so many clothes, yet I couldn't find too many that I didn't want even though I didn't wear 1/3 of them. :S The common problem of most women. Ha ha. Started sneezing a bit at the end (dust allergy). My nose hurts now. Back to work tomorrow... How come the weekend goes a lot faster now that I'm back to work????

Snow

I thought winter was over (well, or would never come). But we had a snow storm today. It was just nasty! The fluffies just kept coming down. Slushes all over! But there is a silver lining -- the office closed early. Woohoo! I just hope by the time I get up tomorrow, the snow will all be gone. :)

No more afternoon naps

Today is the second day that I am back to work full time. No more getting up late and playing with Casey all day long. In the morning, I drive over to my parents with Casey, then one of them drives me to the subway station with Casey still in the car. Then they'll return to their home with her and she stays with them all day until Gary and I get off work. It's been working quite well. It breaks my heart to wake her in the morning though. :| Oh well, but what can I do, eh?

FISH THE PHONE!

You have seen it in movies, probably heard about it from friends...yet you think it'll never happen to you, so you laugh... But I am telling you, the hard way, it is as easy as saying 1, 2, 3...

*splash*

My cell phone fell into the toilet!!!!!!

As soon as it did, I turned around and fished it out using the strap. I dried it off with probably half a roll of toilet paper. Took the battery out and dried the compartment as well. The screen started flickering and the color on the monitor started to fade. I watched it helplessly. But I remember reading "the story" in a magazine, so I followed what I read:

1. Fish out your phone
2. Wipe dry
3. Take out battery
4. Let dry and it should still work in most cases

So this morning after a whole night of prayers, I turned the phone on without much hope. The colors were so light, I could barely see anything on the screen. The keypad was not working properly. Things jumped around and when I pressed a number, something else would happen. I thought the phone was a goner. Then I found out I could use my blue tooth head set to make calls (voice dial). Well at least I could still use the phone, so hubby wouldn't kill me. :p But as the day went by, it actually started functioning normally. *whew* The inside probably got dried off because power was on. So from now on, no more phone in the back pocket!

Happy Valentine's Day!

It came and went just like any other day. It was also our 6th wedding anniversary. But there was no celerbration, no present, no flowers, no card... :( Oh well, I knew what I was getting myself into 6 years ago. And it seems like the spots on the leopard haven't changed. So I can't complain, or can I? :p

Mommy & Baby time

I have been enjoying the time at home with Casey. Can't believe time goes by so fast. She's 6 1/2 months old now and is growing up fast. She can sit up and has already started on baby food. No teeth yet, but we think it'll happen soon. She also makes funny faces and makes everyone laugh.

As much as I would like to stay home and watch her myself, I will be going back to work full time starting next week. My parents will take care of her during the day. But she's still my number one priority. I already told the company up front that I will be taking half day off on Tuesdays to attend Mommy and Me swimming lessons. That'll start at the end of Feb. I had so much fun shopping a bathing suit for her. Ha ha. I can't wait to take pictures of her.
